The audit runs once every 6 months. With no audit in the quarter it counts as an automatic pass — set FoodAlert to anything ≥ 85, or just leave it. Fail an audit you do have, and you lose eligibility for that quarter only.

Each element you hit unlocks its slice of the pot. Miss one and you just lose that slice.
